When The Cows Come Home

Cows are cuter than they taste. Look at Talulah the cow. How cute is she? I want to pet her and let her know that she is beautiful and that I would not imagine eating her. NO...  I am not a vegetarian, but I hardly eat meat. Ok, once in a while when I get a bit intoxicated and need something that can calm my alcoholic nerves. Oh, and I do wear leather. I like leather motorcycle jackets, leather boots, and leather...well you get the picture. So, Talulah, even though I will not eat you, I will surely wear you.

Why Do Rich Bitches....

Why do rich chicks get the good stuff first? Why do they have access to the limited sizes that are available?
Why oh why are these chicks the ones i hate to look at when they are  getting married? Because they have it all and I am jealous. I'm just a girl from Jersey who happens to luck out when I get something good, while these chicks get everything handed to them. Anyone want to join the cause about these lowlife, silver spoon bitches? If so email me and we can talk. For those silver spoon bitches that have it all like Jane A, no disrespect.

Are You Real My Dear

Julia loves a good pair of knockoffs. Her philosophy is, "why spend so much money when a bootleg will come out a few weeks later and look pretty much the same." This chick rolls around NYC and people think she's got the goods, but her goods are bootleg. (Side note: I'm not mad at that.) She is so chic that whatever is on her feet could not possible be "faux"—Mais Non. And this is why I love Julia, she can make a piece of shit look like a wedding cake.

Julia if you're reading... I saw these pair of Fauxberry (Burberry) boots in the window. Only you can pull them off my sweat, only you.

A New Thang

As I was wasting my time googling my name, looking at gossip sites, and playing tic tac toe on the internet, I came upon a blog that I enjoyed—TRADEELA. Doesn't it sound so sweet? Don't you want to run through the fields with a lollypop in one hand while wearing a light pink prairie dress? Well I do and that is exactly what I did after reading this blog that's full of awkward looking people, Christopher Robin, and tasty wordage. Skip to my Lou!

This Old Man

Today I was riding the train and saw this old man. "This old man, he played one, he played knick-knack on my thumb; With a Knick-knack paddywhack, Give a dog a bone; This old man came rolling home." Remember that song? Anyway, this old man was old—pretty old. I was surprised he was riding the train by himself. But, look how dapper he is with a kane, a man purse, trench coat, patterned socks, and oxfords. I wanted this old mans style. So regal and well put together. I got jealous. I hope when I'm old I'll look like this old man.

Sexy Bitches Wear Prada

Caroline loves being social. She has a great personality. She has great legs. She has a great heart, and a great Prada shoe collection. Like me, she spares nothing when it comes to her shoe collection. Today she came in with these heels and her bare feet. It got cold and she threw on some red socks and voila, a whole new look. The red socks mixed with the black lace-up heels turns Caroline from sexy to sexy-bitch.

Wild n' Out

When I think of Wallabees I think of hip-hop, Wu Tang, cute guys, and good style. I always thought that only guys could rock the moccasin-like shoe and a girl would look like a straight up dyke in them. But when I saw Camilla strolling down the street with her pair of tan cuties I really got all nostalgic for the days when hip-hop heads would wear them with baggy pants and a North Face jacket. She looked so cool with her tight black jeans and white socks pocking out. She also had on a members only jacket with a chambray shirt underneath. Camilla you rocked my world—with your style that is.

My New Favorite Thing

When we fall in love we think it is forever. Sometimes it is and sometimes it's not. I fall in love everyday with a pair of shoes, a new shade of lipstick, a pair of jeans, etc. This time around I fell head over heels over a pair of fall 09 Burberry boots. They have everything I ever wanted in a boot—chunky, black, leather, straps, versatile, and comfortable (even if they look painful). When I first saw them down the runway I gasped. I agonized and thought up these boots in my head. And here they are, right in front of my face, and they were tangible. I had to have them and I did. I fell in love, and this time it's forever.
side note: they will be properly introduced to you with one of my weird shoots.

Black And White

I can't believe Michael Jackson died this past year. It's still hard for me to wrap my brain around it.

These shoes remind me of him—for obvious reasons.

In The Old Things Store

This is an outfit my friend and I created at this village store in Alabama. (Please read the post below titled "Old Things" and you will get a feel for the environment. The colored belts made out of straw were only 75 cents, the top was his own, the shorts were $2.00, the glasses also his own, and the attitude he's giving—in that world it's called "looking fierce"— is once again... his own. Check out the scarecrow in the back. Scary South.

PYT

Pretty girls are delicate. You can't mess with them too much or they'll cry. You have to hug them, kiss them, and tell them they are beautiful so they don't annoy you.

Too Much

Crazy bitches love crazy things. Like colors, pattens, and more patterns all at once. Talia loves wearing everything at once. SO when I saw these shoes I knew it was perfect for her. So I showed her, and you know what this bitch told me? "Eh, I need a little more umph." Is she for real?

Old Things

I know those of you reading this blog (I think that's like three people) might think what I am about to write is ignorant, but here it goes. Sometimes when I go down South (and no, not that south) I get scared because there are a lot of old things lurking around. Now, duh, I know there are "old things" in the North but "old things" in the south are scary. I feel like there is so much history behind southern things and that history is usually bad history (for some). I know a lot of this is in my head and that it's quite stupid, but I kinda like dwelling on things that make no sense because they are more dramatic and fun. Take for instance these mannequins I saw in an old village store in Alabama. The display itself looks creepy. And, yes, this post has nothing to do with shoes. It has everything to do with creepy stores and weird mannequins in the South. I don't feel safe.

Girls WIll Be Boys

Sometimes you just want to be a boy. It's so easy, so effortless, and at times real cool. Boys don't really smell. That's just what your mom tells you so you don't start having sex at a young age. These Cole Rood & Haan shoes remind me of boys. But boys from the 1930s—like old school style where they use to dress up just to go to the grocery store. When I wear these boots I feel like a lady boy, and I'm ok with that.

Hipster Lovin'

I have to admit that I have a love hate relationship with Mr. Alexander Wang. I love his easy to wear clothing but at the same time it has become ultra hipster gear—which I kinda hate, but love. Am I a hipster? No. Do I dress like a hipster sometimes? Yes. Do I chill in the LES? Not unless I'm invited. A Wang, (Don't you think he looks like a pretty girl?) does wonders with contemporary clothing. His Spring 2010 collection was on point. Very well constructed and had an idea behind it that was so Americana—football. Besides his cutout dresses and perfectly fitted sweatshirt tops, it was his shoes that caught my eye. I want them so bad. I would even risk being called a hipster for them... I know {shaking head} I know.

So I Creep

I like French kissing, French Fries, French music, French guys, French food, French words, and French shoes. Dani—the lucky girl wearing these Sonia Rykiel creepers—is not French, but she's cool.

Spike

About a week ago I was in a store and this woman kept on calling out the name Spike. "Spike, you're so cute. Spike give me a kiss," she screamed. It was not until I looked back that I noticed Spike was not a dog (as I had imagined) but her son who was sitting peacefully in a stroller. Um.... Spike? I know about Spike Jones, but come on? Really lady... Spike? Poor little thing. The only good thing is that the kid was super cute—let's hope he stays that way. Anyway, so Spike the boy got me thinking of spikes in general. While I was at the Kimberly Ovitz Spring 2010 collection preview I saw... S P I K E S. The shoes themselves don't look that lush, but the added accoutrement makes it tasty. I can't believe that lady named her kid Spike.

It's Suppose to be Cute

Her name is Kimber... enough said.

The Refined Man

Giancarlo always looks good. His jacket matches his shoes, the shirt is tucked perfectly into his pants, his hair always coifed, and he smells like a million bucks. We call him Gio, but he prefers to be called by his full name... Giancarlo Mastrioni. He's so European.

Silver Bells

Last night I wore silver shoes for the first time in about three years. I usually don't go silver because it's a bit too flashy. Flashy chicks are real annoying. It's like, "Look at me. I have something that sparkles." Anyway. So I always have hesitation when it comes to wearing silver or gold. but when I saw Galia wearing these silver boots I was shocked. One: She looked great. Two: She was not having a "Look at me" moment. And Three: She inspired me to wear my own silver shoes... last night.

Bow Tie

My friend michelle use to like bows. She doesn't anymore. Thank God.

These bows were shown at the Prabal Gurung show... they worked.

About Me

Addiction is never a good thing, but sometimes it's just what you need in order to make you happy. In my case, my shoe addiction has consumed every aspect of my life. I wonder about shoes constantly, conjure up styles that don't even exist, go crazy over anything from bougie heels to lowbrow knockoffs, drool over any stylish concoctions, and fawn over my ludicrous collection, which you will see through my weird photoshoot. (I will also showcase some heels on other peoples feet.) I am secretly an Imelda Marcos hater who does not like cheese.
