Hipster Lovin'

I have to admit that I have a love hate relationship with Mr. Alexander Wang. I love his easy to wear clothing but at the same time it has become ultra hipster gear—which I kinda hate, but love. Am I a hipster? No. Do I dress like a hipster sometimes? Yes. Do I chill in the LES? Not unless I'm invited. A Wang, (Don't you think he looks like a pretty girl?) does wonders with contemporary clothing. His Spring 2010 collection was on point. Very well constructed and had an idea behind it that was so Americana—football. Besides his cutout dresses and perfectly fitted sweatshirt tops, it was his shoes that caught my eye. I want them so bad. I would even risk being called a hipster for them... I know {shaking head} I know.

So I Creep

I like French kissing, French Fries, French music, French guys, French food, French words, and French shoes. Dani—the lucky girl wearing these Sonia Rykiel creepers—is not French, but she's cool.

Spike

About a week ago I was in a store and this woman kept on calling out the name Spike. "Spike, you're so cute. Spike give me a kiss," she screamed. It was not until I looked back that I noticed Spike was not a dog (as I had imagined) but her son who was sitting peacefully in a stroller. Um.... Spike? I know about Spike Jones, but come on? Really lady... Spike? Poor little thing. The only good thing is that the kid was super cute—let's hope he stays that way. Anyway, so Spike the boy got me thinking of spikes in general. While I was at the Kimberly Ovitz Spring 2010 collection preview I saw... S P I K E S. The shoes themselves don't look that lush, but the added accoutrement makes it tasty. I can't believe that lady named her kid Spike.

It's Suppose to be Cute

Her name is Kimber... enough said.

The Refined Man

Giancarlo always looks good. His jacket matches his shoes, the shirt is tucked perfectly into his pants, his hair always coifed, and he smells like a million bucks. We call him Gio, but he prefers to be called by his full name... Giancarlo Mastrioni. He's so European.

Silver Bells

Last night I wore silver shoes for the first time in about three years. I usually don't go silver because it's a bit too flashy. Flashy chicks are real annoying. It's like, "Look at me. I have something that sparkles." Anyway. So I always have hesitation when it comes to wearing silver or gold. but when I saw Galia wearing these silver boots I was shocked. One: She looked great. Two: She was not having a "Look at me" moment. And Three: She inspired me to wear my own silver shoes... last night.

About Me

Addiction is never a good thing, but sometimes it's just what you need in order to make you happy. In my case, my shoe addiction has consumed every aspect of my life. I wonder about shoes constantly, conjure up styles that don't even exist, go crazy over anything from bougie heels to lowbrow knockoffs, drool over any stylish concoctions, and fawn over my ludicrous collection, which you will see through my weird photoshoot. (I will also showcase some heels on other peoples feet.) I am secretly an Imelda Marcos hater who does not like cheese.
