And For Fall I Want......

Now I've said sorry for not posting for a very long time, but I am really sorry this time. Life was happening and I forgot to jot it down. Anyway, take a look at these bad boys. Part rugged hiking boot, part pastel delight, I love them so much I'm actually happy—despite the rainy day and the huge pimple on my face. Rachel Rachel Roy for Macy's.... I'm impressed.

Sometimes Simple Is Best

When it's hot as hell outside you don't want to get all dolled up. In fact, all I (and you) want to do when it is blazin is stay inside where there is an air conditioner and watch 80s movies. But one thing that reminds me of summer fun, chillin, and just relaxing is a pair of Keds. I might be older, but when I slip on some soft, plain-as-Jane Keds, I feel like I'm back in the 6th grade—and it feels amazing. Anyway, these Keds x Gap slip ons are perfect for a lazy Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday..... well you get the point.

Is The Doctor In?

Yesterday I was in Queens for a photo shoot and spotted this girl just chillin on the floor. She looked so quaint and peaceful. As I looked down at her feet I saw that she had on an old school pair of Dr. Martens. This would have been cool and all but this chick was rocking these boots in 90 degree weather. I mean really? I got annoyed because comfort and wellbeing should always outshine fashion. But then I looked at the bright side... she looked happy and peaceful. And I had on open-toed flats and looked sad and was miserable. (Note: Her legs are not burnt... my camera is one of those vintage ones so the film fades and warps.)

I Can'T Wait For Fall

I'm sitting at my desk listening to Soul For Real and thinking how much I love the fall weather. I saw these boots by the Gap that will go perfectly with so many outfits I have in my head. "Candy Coated Raindrops," I can't stop listening to this song as I look at these boots. I just got all happy and giddy knowing that soon I will have them on  my feet while listening to Soul For Real. Whatever happened to them?

It's Been Too Long

I've been away and I've been lame, but I am back again and promise not to leave you alone for long. The weather is getting better and i'm all about sandals. I was walking the street and saw this girl... let's just call her a butter face because that's what she was... her feet on the other hand were beautiful and looked amazing in these Givenchy knockoffs. I need these for the summer.... I need, I need, I need, I need, in my life.

Let The Sun Shine In

Today the sun came out and the only thing that came to mind was these LV heels from last season. The shoes are covered in gold and they are over-the-top decadent. I featured the over-the-knee boot, which looks exactly like this one couple of month ago and said they were ugly. I still stand by that statement, but I do love these heels. You would have to wear something subtle to pull these off during the day. I want to put them on and skip around downtown. (Ok, that's a little much but you know what I mean.) I just want spring to come already. I want nice weather so I can wear nice heels with pretty dresses. (Again, I took it too far but you know what I mean).

Rain Rain

Caroline has the right idea. It's raining outside and she looked so good in her rain/utility boots. I wasn't feeling her top but her shoes were perfect. I was also quite jealous of the boots because I was sporting Keds (I love them but not in the rain) which are no good when it pours. Her boots would have gone well with the military jacket I was wearing today.

Too Many Things

Today I realized I had too many things. Too many jeans, too many bags, and definitely too many shoes. But I can't part with any of them. What if I give them away and then a week later I want to wear it? I also realized I've been lazy and not posting. It's that time of year when I have so much to do like lose the weight I gained from the summer and get my wardrobe in check. Anyway, I will be posting more frequently. I'm gonna be on it. I just finished watching Hoarders on A&E and I think I am a Hoarder. I need to change that.

Sorry I'm Back

I know, I know you missed me but I'm back. When the weather gets good it's so hard to stay inside and blog and talk about shoes, and people, or whatever. All I want to do is go outside and drink wine with friends. And that is exactly what I did. Oh and this girl just looked ready and perfect for spring/summer... just like I am.

Working White

Work boots in an easy-to-dirty white suede don't sit with me. And work boots with a skinny heel really doesn't sit right with me. But I don't know why I am so drawn to these things. My friend Kate told me that if I were to ever wear these boots she would laugh and throw things at me because they are ridonculous (that's from the movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall). That's when I told her to "Shut the fuck up." And she did.

Ugly Duckling

Sometimes things can be so ugly that they are pretty. These are one of those things. Merci Monsieur Louboutin.

Spotted

Animal prints have never really been my bag. But lately I've been getting all up in the mix with printed faux fur coats, scarfs, and even shoes. When I saw these bad boys for less than $70 (oh yeah, and they are knockoffs) I pounced right on them like a tiger because I did not want anyone else to have them. But then, I had to put them back because I realized that I had bought the same shoes in a different animal pattern weeks before. How sad.

Oh Zara

Zara is one of those girls you love to hate. She always looks good thus making you look at yourself in the mirror where you realize everything is wrong with you. But she is also very nice so you can't really hate her. She also exclusively wears Zara shoes. These are Zara shoes from the spring 2010 collection. I love the rugged look paired with the bootie socks. So good, so fun, so Zara.

No Tights, Just Socks

I'm not sure if I can pull this look off. I think I did it back in the 6th grade, but then again I was skinnier and younger then.

Pattern Play

In the world of fashion there was a time where mixing and matching patterns was forbidden. Then designers such as Marc Jacob's (even though designers such as Dries Van Noten has been mixing patterns for years) started doing it and the idea became loved. Custo Barcelona was another brand that was always known for their wild side. For the fall 2010 collection (the labels best yet) they perfected the style. Miami never looked better.

And Another One

Why do they do this to me? I always feel after every season that I will not want another pair of shoes. False. I want these. Balenciaga has a knack for creating things I want at a budget I can't afford. I go to sleep at night dreaming of the shoes that I can't attain. I build outfits out of the shoes I can't have. Then I get sad about not having them and mad about my life being complete without them. Now... what I just wrote is crazy. If shoes are what complete me...then... (shaking head) I need a new hobby.

Welcome to Miami (2)

I often wonder where people are headed and what their lives are all about when they pass me by on the street. As I sit on the beach, I wonder whose up on that plane? Then immediately I look at my bare feet and wonder what shoes am I going to wear today.

Lina is one of those people that you have to sit back and relax with. Her stories are so good and comical. It's like watching television... but on a beach in Miami.

Lina's shoes tell a lot about her... beach... close-toe ankle cowboy booties? Really? But that is what makes her so interesting. She doesn't give a fuck.

Welcome To Miami

The Place: Miami

I'm an east coast girl through and through but I love Miami for one thing: color.

Bienvenido a Miami.

Leaves.

Pretty.

Ugly boots, but at least they are colorful.

Yellow? Not red?

Old signs and architecture make me sad. Not because I don't like it, but because I wish it was everywhere.

Pretty flowers make me smile.

I just liked the white cones. I'm so use to bright orange ones.

My Toms and Rocks. Weird but cute. I feel like a girl who wears Toms can seem a bit boring, but I'm not.

Green greens mixed with a bright blue water hydrant. You might be thinking what the fuck, but I know you love the colors together.

Love the scene. Love the colors. Hated my flight.

These are my coveted Miu Miu clogs that I got on discount at Neiman Marcus. I won't tell you how much I paid for them because it will make you jealous. But I can tell you this... I've spent more at H&M then I did on these babies.

Bored and Colorful

Carine is one of those girls that does not say much. She smiles and nods when needed and is always pleasant. She doesn't have to say much because what she wears speaks for itself. Last night we were in a crowd of people and the guy next to me asked if Carine was a bitch because she is not participating in the conversation. I was about to tell him, "No, of course not. She's just super quite." When she turned around herself and said, "Fuck You Dude."

Sweater Face

Love is a wonderful thing. How can you not get hot and bothered about this wedge boot with a sock attached. How can you not get all tingly just with a peek at the perfect round toe. If you don't love these then you don't have a pulse and you are not alive. Live a little... love a little.

Today I'm In Love

I woke up this morning feeling really good. I think its because of all this sun we are receiving, hearing the birds chirp, and the wonderful breezy weather. Today I am in love with life, these heart sneakers that belong to my dear friend Michelle, and the notion that sometimes life can be awesome!

Crazy Lady

These Louis V. thigh-high boots are crazier than a crazy woman in heat. There are also so ugly that they are beautiful.

Boys Town

Sometimes there is nothing that is inspiring. Not even shoes. And then there are those days where the thing (or persons) that inspires you most is the thing (or persons) you least expect to do so.  Today I am inspired by boys (or men). Homeless boys (like the one on the very top picture) who somehow even when they looked disheveled seem to pull it off. And regular dudes that wear regular pants, regular shirts, and regular sneakers—they are inspiring to me today. I feel like my style is very boy driven. It's easy, T-shirty, flannely, and jeansy. Not sneakery (only on weekends when I have nothing to do), but always cardiganery or sweatshirty. I love boys, boys, boys, boys....boys, boys.

Is She 80?

Sometimes when I look at old ladies on the street I get envious. Not because I want to be that age, but because they look so seasoned. They are happy in how they look, what they wear, and life. They have lived and know how to be cool with themselves. I can't wait to get old... haha. When I saw the Prada collection, I went bonkers. OLD LADIES EVERYWHERE!!!! Look at those painted on eyebrow opticals. Look at those square-toed patent leather heels. Look at those thick old lady socks. Aren't you excited? Can't you smell the moth balls? Don't you want to eat some prunes? I don't know about you, but I do!

Comic Con

Sometimes you have to cut through all the bullshit, and just put some Converse on.

Cooler Than McCool

Sometimes I see a collection of shoes where there is only one pair out of the whole bunch that I get obsessed with. And then there are those times where I see a collection and everything that is in it is good. Surface To Air's fall 2010 is like the latter explanation. I wanted everything. It was fashion and function and not fashion over function, which is always a good thing.

About Me

Addiction is never a good thing, but sometimes it's just what you need in order to make you happy. In my case, my shoe addiction has consumed every aspect of my life. I wonder about shoes constantly, conjure up styles that don't even exist, go crazy over anything from bougie heels to lowbrow knockoffs, drool over any stylish concoctions, and fawn over my ludicrous collection, which you will see through my weird photoshoot. (I will also showcase some heels on other peoples feet.) I am secretly an Imelda Marcos hater who does not like cheese.
